My two current favorites are Pound's "Confucius to Cummings" and "The Rattle Bag" by Seamus Heaney and Ted Hughes. I admire the former for its erudition and precision, and the latter for its overflowing vitality. The Rattle Bag stands apart in that the works it collects are chosen not because they are the "best" or "most important", but because they are the most beautiful and enjoyable.
